CACTUS Golden Rat Tail
About Plant: A collectors Cacti. Multi-planted, happy and healthy currently growing in full outdoor sun. Potted in custom mixed Cacti ‘Melty Mix’. The Golden Rat Tail Cactus (not to be confused with the regular rats tail cactus), or Cleistocactus winteri, is a unique trailing cactus from Bolivia. Its long stems resemble a rat's tail and are covered in dense golden spines that shine warmly. It blooms bright orange-pink tubular flowers in spring or summer.
Plant Care: Easy care. Full sun. Water well when the soil is dry, letting excess water drain out. During spring and summer, you can water more often, but in winter, water less as the plant rests. This cactus prefers warm, dry conditions and can tolerate high heat. It’s not frost-tolerant, so if grown outdoors, make sure to bring it inside when temperatures drop below 10°C. Also prefers a well-draining cactus or succulent mix. Add a pouch of — Melty Mix for Cacti + Succulents to your shopping cart. During the growing season (spring and summer), fertilize lightly with a cactus-friendly fertilizer. Add a pouch of — Melty Tea to your shopping cart for a boost of microbes for health.
