About Plant: A rare and striking Brazilian cactus known for its glaucous-blue, clavate (club-shaped) stems that gradually turn a softer grey-blue as they age. Native to Minas Gerais in Brazil, this cactus develops 8-9 rounded ribs with sparse black to brown spines that often fade on older growth. Its nocturnal flowers open at night with pale petals and are followed by round, vivid blue fruits. Ideal for collectors looking for something bold and sculptural in their cactus collection. Please note that this is a live plant. Review all images for any marks/blemishes.

Plant Care: It thrives in full sun. Also prefers a well-draining cactus or succulent mix (Add a pouch of — Melty Mix for Cacti + Succulents to your cart). Water the plant deeply and infrequently, allowing the soil to dry out completely between waterings. Prefers warm temperatures. Must be protected from prolonged cold and excess moisture. Also suitable for sunny patios and balconies. During the growing season (spring and summer), feed with a cactus-specific or balanced liquid fertiliser diluted to half strength. No need to fertilise in the winter when the plant is resting.

Includes: Pot + Saucer
